Q: What led you to choose an eCommerce store?
A: I had the idea for a few years and the time felt right to take the leap. I've actively learned everything I could over the last several years about horsemanship and equine nutrition. The opportunity arose to purchase the retail product side of Nickers Saddlery and I couldn't pass it up. Nickers has a great reputation and being able to continue it while Dana Johnsen focused on her Sensation Ride saddle line was the perfect situation. Now, with Dana retiring, it was the logical next step to add Sensation Ride to my business.
Q: Why did you want to take over Sensation Ride™?
A: I have been a fan of Sensation Ride since learning about it years ago. As an endurance rider, treeless saddles ensure the comfort and happiness of my horses while we are on the trail. Sensation Ride is the only treeless saddle manufactured in Canada, which makes it even more special.
They are an established brand with a stellar reputation, so of course I jumped at the opportunity to take over their wonderful product line. The quality is second to none, and the comfort and versatility make these saddles perfect for any type of rider. My goal for Sensation Ride in the future is to ensure that high product quality and customer experience remain top priorities and maintain the well-deserved reputation.
Q: What do you hope your customers feel when they shop at Sensation Ride?
A: The most important thing for me is that my customers are confident in their purchases and their dealings with us. I want their experience to be very positive and for each of them to know that we have their best interest at heart. A lot of my customers are also friends, colleagues and friendly competitors. There's no separation between me and my customers, so that is top of mind when I interact with them and when I choose new products to add to my stores.
Q: What are some of your favourite products from Sensation Ride?
A: The saddles of course! Nothing beats the comfort for you and your horse. Our SR accessories are also top-notch.
Q: What is your hope for the growth of Sensation Ride?
A: My goal is to be the go-to retailer for distance riders, trail and pleasure riders across Canada, and expanding to the world, while maintaining exemplary quality and customer service.
Q: Do you have any final thoughts that you would like to leave readers and customers with?
A: We are looking forward to getting manufacturing up and running here in Alberta. Our goal is to expand production to make Sensation Ride saddles and accessories more readily available to horses and riders around the world.
